ABOUT ME

Around 7-8 years old Ryan Tunes had the beauty of experiencing a group with his siblings & cousins. Revising “The Temptations – My Girl” into a church theme “ My God”. Went on to achieve winning an award in the church talent show @ Holmen Street Baptist Church. This is where his musical seed was initially planted. The year 2005 is where it really began. At 11 years of age one morning of school MTV videos was on Tv. “Lil Wayne – Fireman” video began to play & from that day on he decided he wanted to become a rapper. He began taking stacks of journals & 100s of loose leaf paper & would write everything that came to mind. Hip-Hop grew in his heart but, something about R&B pulled his heartstrings heavily. He’s been wildly influenced from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, & early 2000s. It was something about the way messages were conveyed through melody & live instruments that gave inspiration. It is felt that he grew up around a loving family filled with integrity.

They believed in playing music that felt timeless & that has created a foundation of how he approaches his creations. Much of “Tunes” music is cultivated from life experiences & truth. Whether it is an experience & truth of his own or someone else’s, he strikes to grab the attention of those who can relate. Though it has not always been this way, his 1st stage name was “Money Producer” (MP for short). This name was formed in 7th grade when he began selling candy. This led to a popular candyman title but, also being well known around school as a rapper & songwriter. He began doing rap battles, talent shows, & collaborations. Met a fellow musician, who eventually became a brother & formed a duo in 9th grade titled “II D33P”. We went on to compete in the 9th grade talent show but achieved runner up due to me dropping my mic. This drove me to increase my work ethic, skill set, & performance. I would write even more & practice for hours a day to improve. 10th grade is where I met another artist by the name of “Eryc Jeighson” He introduced me to a “The Lyricist” who had an independent label formly known as “2 Wayz Up”.
